Practice / Hospital / Referral Centre Information

This animal hospital is expanding into a newly constructed, multi-million-dollar 20,000+ square foot facility in Dunwoody, just outside Atlanta. Purpose-built for specialty and emergency care, the hospital is designed to foster innovation, collaboration, and clinical excellence.

Departments

You'll be joining a team of founding specialists across multiple disciplines, including Surgery, Internal Medicine, Emergency & Critical Care, Dermatology, and Anesthesiology. The cardiology department will be developed alongside these services to ensure seamless interdisciplinary care.

Equipment

As the founding Cardiologist, you'll have input into the selection of equipment and design of your workspace. The hospital will feature:
  • Advanced imaging (CT/MRI)
  • Electrocardiography and echocardiography tools
  • Dedicated cardiology suite
  • Access to surgical support and anesthesiology
  • Onsite diagnostics and monitoring systems

Staffing Levels

The hospital will be staffed with board-certified specialists and experienced emergency clinicians, including:
  • 5 Criticalists (DACVECCs)
  • 2 Surgeons, an Anesthesiologist, and a Resident
  • Internal Medicine support available weekdays
  • 7 Emergency DVMs, including a certified palliative care provider

Qualifications Required

Applicants must be board-certified or residency-trained in Cardiology (ACVIM or ECVIM) and eligible to practice in the United States.
