Board Certified Small Animal Surgeon

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained (Board Eligible) Small Animal Surgery Specialist to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary veterinary team in a state-of-the-art facility.

This is an exciting opportunity to practice advanced surgery, collaborate with other specialists, and contribute to a leading small animal hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients, establish treatment plans, and perform or supervise surgical procedures for routine, complex, and emergency cases.
  • Collaborate closely with other veterinary specialties, including Internal Medicine, Emergency, and Critical Care teams.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support veterinary technicians and staff.
  • Contribute to the improvement of hospital protocols, surgical standards, and client communication.
  • Provide recommendations on surgical equipment and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent.
  • Board-Certified or Residency-Trained (Board Eligible) in Small Animal Surgery.
  • Experience working with a surgical team and supervising technicians.
  • Fluency in English; bilingual (French & English) is an asset.
  • Eligible to obtain licensure to practice in Ontario, Canada.
  • Strong commitment to high-quality patient care and client communication.
