A respected, privately owned small animal hospital in University Park, Dallas is seeking a confident and collaborative Senior Associate / Lead Veterinarian (DVM) to join its established medical team.

This role is well suited for a veterinarian who wants meaningful input into medical standards and practice direction while maintaining the flexibility and independence of private practice.

You'll work closely with an engaged, hands-on practice owner in a setting that values thoughtful medicine, strong client relationships, and a supportive, team-first culture.

• This is a 3-doctor hospital with an experienced support team and a strong reputation in the local community.
• The Lead/Senior Associate veterinarian will play an integral role in clinical leadership, mentorship, and medical consistency, while still focusing on patient care and client communication.
• The practice prioritizes low-stress handling, individualized treatment plans, and delivering high-quality medicine without corporate pressure or production-driven shortcuts.

Hospital Hours & Schedule

• Doctors typically work four 10-hour shifts per week. Saturday shifts rotate among the medical team.
• The schedule is designed to support work-life balance and long-term sustainability.

Opening Hours:

• MondayFriday: 7:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM 3:00 PM
• Compensation & Benefits
• Base salary: $135,000$175,000+, depending on experience and leadership scope
• 22.5%+ production bonus with no negative accrual
• Sign-on bonus available
• 4 weeks paid time off
• $3,800+ annual CE allowance

About You

• DVM degree or equivalent
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas
