I first met Dr Raquel Bravo, a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Specialist, and Dr Iago Blazquez, a Board-Certified Anaesthesia Specialist, when they decided to make a major life and career transition. Originally from Spain, both were looking to move to Australia to continue their professional journeys.
However, they faced a unique challenge: their degrees were from non-accredited institutions, which raised concerns about their eligibility to work in Australia. This is a common hurdle for many veterinary specialists, but one I am well-versed in overcoming. At Global Talent Partners, we are committed to helping our candidates find solutions to these challenges.
We worked closely together to navigate the visa eligibility requirements, making sure they both had the necessary support and guidance to pursue their dreams in Australia.
During our initial conversations, we focused on understanding what was
most important for both Raquel and Iago:
We also discussed their long-term career goals and the kind of role that would align with their values. While they had an idea of what they wanted, we worked together to ensure the perfect fit, both professionally and personally.
As with any complex case, significant work happened behind the scenes to ensure a successful transition for Raquel and Iago. This involved:
This behind-the-scenes work helped streamline their transition and secure a job offer that was the right fit for both their professional and personal lives.
Alongside our behind-the-scenes work, I provided direct support to Raquel and Iago in the following ways:
These steps ensured they felt supported every step of the way, from visa applications to their first day on the job.
As the process unfolded, both Raquel and lago began to feel more confident about their move to Australia. They moved from feeling uncertain and overwhelmed to feeling:
Clear about their visa eligibility and the next steps in their careers.
With the right guidance, support, and a clear path forward, they regained control of their futures and were ready to embrace this new chapter in their professional lives.
Raquel and Iago both accepted positions at a Veterinary Specialist Clinic in Sydney, a role that aligned perfectly with their skills, expertise, and lifestyle goals.
Since making the move, they have both thrived in their new roles, contributing to a supportive and dynamic team. Outside of work, they’ve embraced the Australian lifestyle, spending their time after work sitting on the beach, going for scenic walks, and exploring the beauty of Sydney on weekends.
Their quality of life has significantly improved, and they now have a better work-life balance, enjoying the perfect combination of professional fulfilment and personal happiness.
Raquel and Iago’s story is a perfect example of how Global Talent Partners can help veterinary specialists overcome challenges and achieve their career and life goals.
By providing expert advice on visa pathways, supporting relocation, and finding roles that align with both professional and personal aspirations, we ensure our candidates experience long-term success.
I am writing to share my extremely positive experience working with Gemma Czech during my recent job search for me as a Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist and for my partner, a Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia Specialist.
From the very beginning, she was attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely committed to helping us find the right position, not just any position.
What truly set her apart was the way she listened to our preferences and needs without judgment. She made me feel heard and respected, always taking my concerns into account and treating them as important, rather than rushing us into a decision.
At every step of the process, she was supportive and present, making us feel that we had someone on our side. She was always well-organized and clearly put care and thought into every detail of her work.
She was also very proactive in anticipating our needs, ensuring that we had all the information we needed to make informed decisions.
Her thorough understanding of the veterinary field and the veterinary specialist field specifically made all the difference. She was able to guide us in a way that felt both personalized and professional.
She is one of those people who not only does her job but truly cares about doing it to the best of her ability, a quality I value in any professional interaction and that I recognized in her quickly.
I felt safe being honest with her about my thoughts and doubts, knowing she would handle everything with discretion and integrity.
I will not hesitate for a second to recommend her to any of my friends or colleagues in the veterinary field who will look for a new job in the future. And if I ever decide to change positions again, I will absolutely reach out to her.
She has been an invaluable support throughout this process, and I am very grateful for all her help.“
