Key Duties

  • Providing advice on animal travel: The veterinarian may also provide advice to pet owners on how to prepare their animals for travel, including health and safety considerations and appropriate documentation for travel
  • Providing emergency veterinary care: The primary duty of a Travel Emergency Veterinarian is to provide emergency medical care to animals in distress. This includes performing diagnostic tests, providing medication, and performing surgeries if necessary
