Key Duties

Key Skills, Qualifications & Client Requirements

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Board certification or eligibility for certification in emergency and critical care by a veterinary specialty organization.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and surgery.
  • Ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical emergencies, including trauma, respiratory distress, and shock.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to effectively communicate with pet owners, staff, and other veterinary professionals.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, make quick decisions, and remain calm in emergency situations.
