This independent emergency veterinary practice in Los Angeles, Ca is looking to add another veterinarian to their amazing team.

This independent practice is unlike any other. The practice is run in order to best serve the needs of its staff. Management believes that by listening to their staff allows the staff to operate at an extremely high level. Whether you need new equipment or want to try different medicines the practice manager listens to the staff needs and does everything to work towards bettering the quality of medicine provided to their clients.

This practice is a leading animal care facility committed to providing exceptional emergency veterinary services to their community. their state-of-the-art clinic is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including endoscope, digital radiography and surgical suites that enables them to deliver the best possible care to their patients. Their dedicated team of professionals is passionate about ensuring the well-being of animals during critical moments.

The practice is looking for a veterinarian to work Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night shifts every week. On swing shifts you work with 8 support staff to one doctor and on the graveyard shifts you have 4 support staff. This includes a dedicated RVT and other technical staff.

Key Duties

Respond to and manage emergency cases, providing immediate medical attention and stabilizing patients.
Perform thorough medical assessments, diagnostic tests, and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Administer medications, surgeries, and other necessary procedures based on individual patient needs.
Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and potential outcomes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and emergency care techniques.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

DVM/VMD degree and active veterinary license.
Previous experience in emergency medicine or a strong interest in emergency care.
Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both clients and team members.
A dedication to providing the highest level of patient care and client satisfaction.
