Mixed Animal Veterinarian Role, High Prairie, AB

This fantastic company is seeking a full-time, permanent Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join their progressive mixed animal practice in High Prairie, AB.

Their purpose is to help people help animals, and they are committed to elevating rural mixed animal practices through investment, management, and practice support while keeping the animals and their people at the forefront. The team is passionate about mixed animal medicine and fostering an environment of collaboration, connection, and care.
Their team of four is looking for an outstanding candidate who shares their enthusiasm for mixed animal medicine. The team is tightly-knit, always ready to assist one another, and dedicated to cultivating strong bonds with clients. High Prairie is an excellent location for individuals who relish rural life and outdoor pursuits like hunting, fishing, hiking, and sports, with the option of a big city getaway to Edmonton just a few hours away.
The ideal candidate for the position must possess a passion for mixed animal medicine, outstanding problem-solving abilities, excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, a firm commitment to building strong connections with clients, a positive team-oriented attitude, and the physical ability to lift 35+ pounds unassisted. Key Duties

Conducting routine check-ups and providing preventative care for both large and small animals
Diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries in animals
Performing surgical procedures on both large and small animals
Providing emergency care as needed
Collaborating with other veterinarians and support staff to ensure seamless care for clients
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
Participating in continuing education opportunities to stay up-to-date with advances in veterinary medicine.
