Key Duties

We are seeking a skilled and experienced emergency veterinarian to join our team at a well-established animal hospital. As an emergency veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing top-quality medical care to critically ill or injured pets that require immediate attention.

• Diagnose and treat a variety of emergency medical conditions in pets, including trauma, poisoning, respiratory distress, and neurological disorders
• Conduct physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and imaging studies to assess the patient's condition accurately
• Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to each patient's specific needs
• Communicate with pet owners and other members of the veterinary team to provide updates on patient status and ensure continuity of care
• Perform emergency surgeries, including soft tissue surgery
  Stay up-to-date with current advances in veterinary medicine and participate in ongoing education opportunities

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited institution
• Current state veterinary license
• Experience in emergency medicine and surgery preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
