You'll be responsible for comprehensive primary eye care services, contact lens fitting, and will have the opportunity to expand your skills in full-scope optometry, including the co-management of pre- and post-operative patients, glaucoma treatment, diabetic retinopathy care, and management of other ocular surface diseases.

The practice is supported by a team of highly trained professionals, including experienced opticians and technicians, who handle pre-screening procedures to ensure smooth and efficient clinic operations. This enables you to dedicate more time to addressing the critical clinical needs of your patients.

The practice boasts a welcoming, family-like atmosphere where colleagues are truly valued. You will have day-to-day support from at least two other respected optometrists with decades of experience within the practice.

In addition, you will have access to advanced testing facilities within a modern, recently refurbished practice. The practice is equipped with well-maintained diagnostic equipment and cutting-edge systems such as widefield imaging, optomap, corneal topographers, and OCT, among others.

The Role

  • A practice-based role with flexible hours, allowing you to work between three and five days per week to suit your preferred work-life balance.

  • Working hours are generally from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. If this schedule doesn't align with your availability, please still apply, as our client may be able to accommodate alternative working hours.

  • The practice requests colleagues to cover occasional Saturday morning clinics, which last for four hours, required only once per month.

  • A full patient schedule will be provided from the beginning, although initially, it will be more relaxed to help you settle into your new role. Once comfortable, you will be provided with a full patient schedule, with the opportunity to earn additional production-based bonuses.

  • While the primary focus is on primary eye care, you will also have opportunities to engage in full-scope optometry, including pre- and post-surgical co-management, treatment of eye diseases, and the option to offer specialist contact lens services, depending on your interest.

  • There are additional opportunities for involvement in myopia control and dry eye treatments, and the practice welcomes any other special clinical interests that would enhance the overall service offering.

  • Competitive base salary of $100,000-$125,000, negotiable based on experience.
