Mixed Animal Veterinarian Opportunity, Drayton Valley, AB

As a mixed animal veterinarian, you will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care to a variety of animals, including but not limited to cattle, horses, and small animals. You will work collaboratively with the clinic team to ensure excellent patient care and client satisfaction, as well as attend to emergency cases and provide after-hours care as needed.
Drayton Valley is a small town in central Alberta, Canada, known for its scenic beauty and natural resources. The town is located approximately 133 km southwest of Edmonton and is home to a friendly and welcoming community.

Key Duties

  • Conduct routine check-ups and preventative care for both large and small animals.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in animals.
  • Perform surgical procedures on both large and small animals.
  • Provide emergency care as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other veterinarians and support staff to ensure seamless care for our clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with advances in veterinary medicine.

  • Solid organizational skills that enable you to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
  • A veterinary medicine degree from a recognized university.
  • Completion of national certification exams or their equivalent is mandatory.
  • Availability to work on overnights, evenings, and weekends.
